Music Ministry
The ministry of music is a very important part of Vision Outreach. Our ultimate goal is to spread the Good News of Salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Messiah. The current music and the future music that we produce will be geared toward evangelism. Much of Christian music that is produced today is targeted and marketed by corporations as product to an audience that is already born again. This is vital because praise and worship is needed to precede the teaching of the Word on Sunday morning. The music that is marketed unfortunately does not cover the most important desire of Jesus. In essence, it is designed to “preach to the choir” rather than seek out the lost. In most cases, the lost don’t want to be sought out or don’t feel they need to be sought out. This makes the ministry much more difficult and all the more rewarding when a breakthrough is made for the Kingdom of God.
During the 90’s, Jay Stern, Steven Webb and I toured the northeast and Canada as a music group called, “Ruach”. The most difficult times of ministry were when we ministered in public outdoors. For instance, in Burlington, VT, we were booed and hissed at. People shouted obscenities at us while we ministered. And yet, the people who stopped and listened and opened their eyes and ears for the first time, made the slanderous shouting bearable. We ministered to churches and messianic groups all over the place, and yet I could not help thinking about the public presentations blessing the Lord so much more than when we were sharing with the body of Christ. His Word was reaching people who would never step foot into a church building. We were meeting people in their own territory. It was bold and daring. It could not have been done on our own. It had to be the Holy Spirit anointing that got us through the public outreaches.
We Christians in America are very happy in our comfort zone. My Pastor, Leonard Stenson, recently preached on our comfort zones. He used a great analogy of the mother eagle feeding her offspring in the nest and how much comfort they had. All of a sudden, mom kicked her eaglets out and they were suddenly on their own. I have been forced out of my comfort zone in the last year. As time progresses, I am discovering that it was “I AM" that gave me a shove out of my old comfort zone. My relocation from Vermont to North Carolina really helped me to discover that the comfort zone is not where the Lord wants us. He wants us ministering to the lost souls, the majority of people in the USA. It is probably best to voluntarily leave your comfort zone before the Lord gives you a shove when you least expect it.
The music that is featured in the link below is the complete album, “Almighty" by KB Gunn. It is in MP3 format. Lo fi plays in mono and hi-fi plays in stereo. These songs are not downloadable, but can be listened to in their entirety for no charge.

Here are a couple of video's of my music hosted on YouTube:
Also included are several songs from Ruach. These songs are downloadable for free. We hope you enjoy them.
In the very near future, Vision Outreach Records will be producing mastered
CD’s of “Almighty". This CD will be available from Amazon.com
and other on line companies. We expect to also have it on iTunes. In addition,
we will produce music from other music ministries as the Lord leads us. The
key word here is ministries, not artists. VOR will not be creating music that
builds up an artist. That is idolatry. We will only build up the Lord. More
of Him and less of us. We have to be willing instruments for the Lord’s
work in these last days.
God Bless you all
