Not tax deductible

Any financial donations given to Vision Outreach Ministries are not tax deductible.  Although we could obtain a non-profit religious organization status,501(C)(3), we choose not to do so.  By obtaining that status, we would be under restrictions about what we can say pertaining to government and politics. Jesus never had that limitation and he discussed those topics regularly.

One must consider the motivation for donation to a cause.  If you are donating to a church or ministry just to obtain a tax deduction, then you are being foolish.   

The motivation of charity giving to lower tax liability is not an issue anymore.  The numerous tax brackets have been eliminated by the IRS, so there is little effect on tax liability.  If you want to save money, don’t donate to any church or ministry at all. It is ridiculous to give a dollar so that you can get thirty cents removed from your tax bill.  You will come out seventy cents ahead if you donate nothing.  Instead, give out of the Love of the Lord without tax deductions as a motivation.  Consider in prayer if the Lord is leading you to contribute to our effort which has a goal of building God’s Kingdom.

We at Vision Outreach make our tents elsewhere, so we do not depend on financial contributions for our personal needs. We do not receive salaries from the ministry. However, the cost of producing musical CD’s is beyond our current budget. We desire to reach the lost with music that is geared to them. The style of the music may be too “worldly” for the Church, but it is just what lost souls will listen to. It is our desire to make this evangelistic music available in the near future. It costs approximately $5000 to produce 1000 CD’s when figuring in studio and mastering production, artwork and manufacture. After the first 1000 are distributed, many of them for free, the next 1000 will cost $2000 since it is just duplication of all the previous designs.

We are not attempting to make a profit from the music production. We will be giving copies of the music for free to the unsaved people who request it and at a lower cost for believers, if they wish to get multiple copies for distribution. We are in need of funds to spread the Gospel which is a free gift to those who are unsaved. We will gladly accept any financial support that is given after prayerful consideration.
